Just because we are an Internet driven business, doesn't mean that we have to be impersonal. The entire AVP staff consists of the most down-to-earth people you'll ever meet.

Each month we will spotlight a different employee that has contributed to our success. That way, you can get to know all of AVP even if we never meet in person. We'll be featuring an employee photo as well in the coming weeks.

 August/September Spotlight: Garey Fox (aka. GFox)

Crazy Like A 'Fox'
AVP's Senior Sales Representative Garey Fox, knows how to breathe life into the AVP Organization. He's been doing just that for almost five years, and his beat hasn't lost a step since day one.

When Garey is on the phone with customers, he is in the zone. He gets visibly excited, his voice gets louder and his true enthusiasm comes through in every call he makes. This over-zealous energy reverberates throughout the office and helps pick up everyone's spirit. Plus, his customers love him and have become some of the most loyal you'll ever meet.

Garey's charm and energy has helped him become one of AVP's top sales producers. His solid sales numbers won him trips to the Bahamas last year and Lake Tahoe this year. He gets quite a bit of his leads and sales from churches and other houses of worship as well as large corporations such as GAP, Inc.

When Garey is away from the office, his energy level reaches a new high. He has a Harley that he enjoys riding and a boat that he puts in the water as often as possible. His Boykin Spaniel, Abbey, which shares Garey's spirit of adventure, is often by his side.

If you're ever in Norcross, GA, stop by the AVP office to meet Garey. You'll know he's in when the office is a buzz with energy.

June/July Spotlight: John Sousa

It's 1:30 in morning. The streets are empty. People are in bed. Even the bars are closing down. Yet from a home in Norcross, GA, clicking can be heard. What is that? Oh, it's just John Sousa working again on an AVP website.

That scene is not too far-fetched when you are talking about John. For most companies, its IT Manager/Web Developer is a full-time job. For John, it's a Full-Life job, because AVP is a web-based company featuring several different websites. If a website goes down, it means lost revenue.

John has been at the helm of AVP's IT department for five years. He plays a key role in developing AVP's best revenue-producing websites including www.AVPartner.com , www.ProjectorDepot.com , www.ProjectorXtras.com and www.AVPHomeTheatre.com .

So what is John doing when he's not working? Working. We'll sort of. In addition to a talent for computers, databases and websites, John has a gift for playing bass. For more than 20 years, John has been perfecting his bass playing to become a very accomplished musician. Currently, he performs most every weekend with his schizophrenic band. " Schizophrenic " because the band performs under three different names: The band is called Stone Cold Fox when they play 70's; Electric Boogaloo plays 80's music; and White Leopard Crew plays 80's metal. John has a different costume, stage name and presence for each of the different bands.

Whether it's playing in his band, creating a new website or riding his bike on cross-city treks, John gives 110% to his work and the same in his life.

April/May Spotlight: Jeff Schuelke

Jeff Schuelke has been a great asset to our company. Along with his duties as AVP's Sales Manager, Jeff helps the team by personally handling sales and customer service calls.

We knew that Jeff was going to take AVP by storm the moment he started with the company in February of 2003. And he's proven us correct. Jeff's customers continuously send emails and letters showing their gratitude for his attention to service.

When asked what he most likes about working at AVP, Jeff replies, "Working with great people in a positive environment."

Jeff leads his five-to-nine-life as a singer/songwriter. He also enjoys working out and is a distance runner.
